■ WIZ PMC Targets Sustainable Injection Molding!
Recently, there has been an increased interest in using a mixture of virgin materials and recycled materials among eco-friendly raw material methods. LS Mtron plans to demonstrate the sandwich method, utilizing new materials for the surface layer and recycled materials for the core layer. This approach aims to achieve injection quality with no issues related to exterior quality or product rigidity.
LS Mtron"s WIZ PMC is a Piggyback Multi Component technology that combines the hydraulic WIZ Plus with ONE*-E’s premium electric injection device. To showcase the capabilities of WIZ PMC, LS Mtron decided to demonstrate its use in creating an electric car interior material, which is in high demand in the market.
Electric vehicle market has been getting increased attention due to the growing worldwide focus on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. European countries set a goal for 35% of new car sales to consist of eco-friendly vehicles like electric cars by 2030, and prohibit the sales of new vehicles with internal combustion engines from 2035.
The United States also announced plans to install over 500,000 electric vehicle charging stations by 2030 and increase the percentage of electric vehicle sales to 50%. Therefore, LS Mtron"s product demonstrations is expected to be beneficial for customers in the electric vehicle industry.

■ Applying AI technology to eco-friendly injection molding for the first time in Asia! ‘WIZ-T Plus’
LS Mtron plans to showcase its proprietary AI technology, which is being introduced for the first time in Korea, in order to demonstrate the ability to achieve a stable injection environment while using both new and recycled eco-friendly raw materials and injection methods that have gained significant attention recently.
LS Mtron has announced that it will use its AI Weight Control technology in the injection of spiral specimen molds with WIZ-T Plus 170. This technology detects weight changes in molded products through a weight meter linked to an injection machine and adjusts conditions to maintain normal weight to inject spiral specimen molds.
AI powered weight control systems can significantly minimize defects in molded products. It does this by automatically adjusting the manufacturing process in real-time to offset weight variations, particularly in environments where disturbances like fluctuations in temperature and humidity cause uneven molding.

■ "the ONE*-E"holds the title of the fastest injection molding machine in Korea.
LS Mtron"s "the ONE*- E" injection molding machine holds the title of the fastest in Korea. Recently, it has expanded its range with the addition of 50/80/130/400 models to the existing lineup of 110/170/220/280/350 models. This upgrade includes a diverse selection of built-in premium electric products.
The ONE*-E is a premium injection molding machine designed for high-end packaging products. Through high-precision injection molding, it can incorporate customer-specified home appliance designs to meet their exact requirements. MuCell®(MuCell) is a specialized injection molding process that utilizes ultra-fine bubbles. This unique molding technique offers significant benefits in terms of design flexibility and cost reduction, which are not typically seen in conventional injection molding processes.
MuCell enables the creation of functionally optimized product designs by combining density reduction through foaming with optimized design. This results in material and weight savings of over 20%, while also improving dimensional stability and reducing distortion and shrinkage. Additionally, the foaming process replaces the packing step, resulting in a product that is more resilient to stress.
MuCell technology offers significant cost reduction and process advantages, and is currently being applied to a wide range of industries, including automotive, home appliances, medical devices, packaging, and household goods.

LS Mtron has announced that it will showcase its WIZ-280E Plus, which implements Mucell technology, through a dish injection demonstration that incorporates ceramic coating. ■ The In-Mold Labeling Method": Achieve high-quality and efficient production of packaging products through packaging automation and high-speed injection molding!
LS Mtron has announced its plan to introduce an In-Mold Labeling(IML) method at KOPLAS 2023. This innovative method integrates label attachment with the injection molding process, improving productivity and reducing losses during transfer and attachment. With IML, labels are applied directly to the product"s surface during injection molding, streamlining the production process and delivering superior results.
LS Mtron plans to use the ONE*-280E, a premium electric injection molding machine, to produce coffee cups(containers) and showcase their speed and stable quality(reproducibility) to the customers. As single-use containers, these cups highlight the advantages of advanced injection molding technology in terms of high-speed production and consistent quality.
Renowned for its high design reproducibility and perfect surface treatment achieved through high-precision injection molding, ‘the ONE*-E’ series is optimized for high-speed and precise molding. With an optimized toggle mechanism that accelerates the link speed ratio by 30%, the ONE*-E series is capable of handling high cycle times while minimizing vibration through C-Curve control. This results in greater precision, efficiency, and quality in injection molding operations.
In addition, the series has improved acceleration performance, increased plasticity through adaptable screws with increased RPM, a clamp force monitoring function through a tie-bar sensor, automatic clamping force calibration function, and an automatic zero adjustment mode function for spring mold. These features have further improved the convenience of users.
Furthermore, ‘the ONE*-E’ utilizes a dual center press die structure to minimize mold deformation while boosting, which improves mold face pressure distribution(33% improvement on the fixed plate) and extends the longevity of mold life.

■ The "WIZ-VR" series enables low-floor, safe and efficient operations
Recently, as the functions of automobiles have advanced, relying solely on oil is no longer sufficient to meet all of the needs of vehicles. Semiconductors, originally developed for use in smartphones and other IT devices, are now being used in automobiles, giving rise to "automotive semiconductors." Automotive power semiconductors differ from general memory semiconductors. They need to withstand higher voltage and current levels, as well as the harsher temperatures and external conditions inside a vehicle than typical environments.
Automotive semiconductors are used in a variety of applications, including the power supply, info-tainment system (consolidates various car information in one place, controls various displays and major functions, and more), smart key, electric door, and sensors such as gravity acceleration, rain detection, lane detection, and sign/object recognition.
Interest in semiconductors for vehicles has increased significantly, especially with the recent rise in demand for electric vehicles and self-driving cars. In line with the increasing trend towards semiconductors in the automotive industry, LS Mtron plans to demonstrate a gravity acceleration sensor for vehicles using the aforementioned WIZ-150VR at KOPLAS 2023,
The gravity acceleration sensor that LS Mtron will demonstrate has a notably wide range of applications due to its ability to accurately measure the motion of an object. This sensor is used in various systems such as airbags in automobiles and the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) in machines. Further applications include a wide range of electronic devices, including smartphones, cameras, smartwatches, and even unmanned aerial vehicles and drones. It is also essential for creating realistic virtual reality experiences in games.
The WIZ-VR has been developed with the convenience and safety of workers in mind. The low-floor vertical injection molding machine will inject gravity acceleration sensors at KOPLAS 2023. With its hybrid system, it saves energy and demonstrates exceptional precision compared to conventional vertical injection molding machines.
